Inviting Others to Help Care

Share the responsibility of pet care with family members, friends, or pet sitters through PetCircle's collaboration features. WHO CAN YOU INVITE? • Family Members: Spouses, children, and relatives • Friends: Trusted friends who help with pet care • Pet Sitters: Professional or casual pet sitters • Dog Walkers: Regular walking service providers • Veterinary Staff: For direct communication (with their consent) HOW TO SEND INVITATIONS 1. Go to Your Pet's Profile Open the Pets tab and select the pet you want to share, then tap on your pet's profile to view details. 2. Access Sharing Options Look for the "Share" or "Invite" button, usually represented by a user or sharing icon. 3. Enter Invitation Details Invitee Information: • Email Address: The email of the person you're inviting • Name: Their preferred name for the app • Personal Message: Optional note explaining why you're sharing Permission Level: • View Only: They can see information but not make changes • Full Access: They can view, add, and edit information 4. Send the Invitation Review the details and permission level, tap "Send Invitation", and they'll receive an email with instructions to join. PERMISSION LEVELS EXPLAINED View Only Access What they can see: • Pet profile information • Upcoming reminders and schedules • Health records and history • Photos and notes What they cannot do: • Create or edit reminders • Add health records • Modify pet information • Delete any data Full Access Everything from View Only, plus: • Create and manage reminders • Add health records and photos • Edit pet information • Mark reminders as complete • Invite additional collaborators (with your approval) MANAGING COLLABORATORS Viewing Current Collaborators: Go to your pet's profile, tap "Shared With" or similar option, and see who has access and their permission level. Changing Permissions: Tap on any collaborator's name, select "Edit Permissions", choose new permission level and save. Removing Access: Find the collaborator in the list, tap "Remove Access" or trash icon, and confirm the action to revoke their access. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE ACCEPTS For New Users: 1. They receive an email invitation 2. Download PetCircle from their app store 3. Create an account using the invited email 4. Automatic access to your shared pet For Existing Users: 1. They get an email notification 2. Open PetCircle app 3. Accept the invitation in the app 4. Your pet appears in their pet list BEST PRACTICES Security: • Only invite people you trust completely • Use View Only for casual helpers • Reserve Full Access for primary caregivers • Regularly review who has access Communication: • Explain the app: Help new users understand how to use PetCircle • Set expectations: Clarify who does what and when • Stay in touch: Use the app's features to coordinate care Organization: • Clear naming: Use consistent names for pets and reminders • Regular updates: Keep information current for all collaborators • Responsibility sharing: Divide tasks based on schedules and preferences TROUBLESHOOTING Invitation not received? • Check spam/junk folders • Verify email address is correct • Resend the invitation if needed Can't accept invitation? • Ensure they're using the same email address • Try logging out and back in • Contact support if issues persist Collaborator can't see updates? • Refresh the app (pull down on main screens) • Check internet connection • Ensure they have the latest app version Permission issues? • Verify their permission level settings • Try removing and re-inviting with correct permissions • Contact support for advanced permission problems PRIVACY AND SECURITY PetCircle takes your privacy seriously: • Encrypted data: All shared information is securely encrypted • Limited access: Collaborators only see pets you explicitly share • Revocable access: Remove access anytime instantly • No personal data sharing: Only pet-related information is shared Need help with collaboration features?
