Creating Reminders

Keep your pet's care on track with smart reminders for feeding, medications, vet visits, and more. TYPES OF REMINDERS PetCircle supports various reminder types: • Feeding: Regular meal times and portions • Medication: Pills, treatments, and supplements • Exercise: Walks, playtime, and activities • Grooming: Baths, brushing, nail trims • Vet Visits: Checkups, vaccinations, procedures • Training: Sessions and practice time • Custom: Any other care activities HOW TO CREATE A REMINDER 1. Open the Reminders Tab Tap "Reminders" in the bottom navigation, then tap the "+" button to create a new reminder. 2. Choose Reminder Details Basic Information: • Title: Descriptive name for the reminder • Type: Select from the reminder categories • Pet: Choose which pet this reminder is for Schedule Options: • Once: Single occurrence with specific date and time • Daily: Repeats every day at set times • Weekly: Choose specific days of the week • Monthly: Repeats monthly on chosen dates 3. Set Notification Preferences • Time: When you want to be notified • Advance Notice: Get reminded 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day before • Sound: Choose notification sound (device dependent) 4. Add Optional Details • Notes: Additional instructions or information • Dosage: For medications, specify amount • Duration: How long the reminder should continue MANAGING REMINDERS Completing Tasks: • Tap the checkmark when a task is done • View completion history in the reminder details • Track streaks and consistency Editing Reminders: • Tap any reminder to view details • Use the "Edit" button to modify settings • Changes apply to future occurrences Turning Off Reminders: • Toggle reminders on/off without deleting • Useful for temporary schedule changes • Easily reactivate when needed PRO TIPS 1. Start Simple: Begin with basic feeding reminders, then add more as you get comfortable 2. Be Specific: Use clear titles like "Morning Insulin - 2 units" instead of just "Medicine" 3. Use Notes: Add important details like "Give with food" or "After walk" 4. Set Realistic Times: Choose reminder times that fit your actual schedule 5. Review Regularly: Check and adjust reminders as your pet's needs change TROUBLESHOOTING Not receiving notifications? • Check notification permissions in device settings • Ensure PetCircle notifications are enabled • Verify Do Not Disturb isn't blocking alerts Reminder not repeating? • Double-check the schedule type (daily/weekly/monthly) • Ensure the end date isn't in the past • Try deleting and recreating the reminder Wrong time showing? • Verify your device's time zone settings • Check if automatic time zone is enabled • Restart the app to refresh time settings Still having issues?
